The world has no boundaries, but unfortunately, travel insurance does. World Nomads policies can go with you to most countries with a few exceptions.
We don’t offer coverage if you travel abroad to a country or region against the advice of the Canadian Government or Health Canada. In other words, you aren’t covered if you book a trip or buy a policy after the Canadian government has issued formal advisory against travel to a destination, country or region listed on your itinerary.
Other countries we exclude are:
• Iran
• Syria
• North Korea
• Crimea region
• Cuba also has limitations. Read the policy for more details.
If there are any changes to the countries we cover, the easiest way to check is by getting a quote and adding individual countries (such as Thailand, Vietnam, Laos) or regions (Asia, Europe, Worldwide) or a mix of both (Thailand, Vietnam, Asia) to the form. You won’t be able to buy insurance for a country we don’t cover.
