British Airways (BA) have notified travelers there will be significant delays and cancelations impacting flights on September 9, 10 and 27, 2019 due to industrial action.

They have also provided some FAQs on the strike with helpful suggestions for booked travelers booked to fly with BA.

I'm heading on vacation and flying with BA on those dates - what does this mean for me?

As this event is now anticipated, there is no coverage for claims arising from this strike action for policies purchased after August 26, 2019.

If we’ve issued your Certificate of Insurance before this time, you may be able to claim for trip interruption and trip cancellation. Please check your policy for more information.

In the event of a claim covered by your policy, you provide all supporting documentation of the event and expenses incurred.

If you intend to submit a claim, please complete the claim form. If you need help, contact us.

What should I do now?

If you have planned travel with BA on these dates, please contact your airline, cruise company or travel agent for assistance in the first instance.

If you think your travel plans might be affected or you think you should cancel your trip you should contact your travel agent or your travel carrier (airline, cruise company, etc.) for guidance.

If you have any other concerns, please contact us.
