How to claim on World Nomads travel insurance  

  • Sign in to your World Nomads membership  
  • If you bought as a guest, can create an account if you don’t have one or contact our customer service team who can send you paper forms 
  • Fill out the claims form electronically and attach your supporting documents. Your policy also has details of essential documents we’ll need (heads up: you may be asked to send the original receipts, so keep them safe). 
  • Use your confirmation letter with a reference number to keep track of your claim's status 
  • Be patient. Claims can take up to 10 business days to do an initial review or more if required documents are needed to process your claim. 
  • Read your policy. It will have full details on what’s covered, not covered and the limits and conditions which may apply.  

Tips for a Successful Claim 

  • Injury, illness or evac? Call our 24/7 Emergency Assistance team asap. 
  • Before your trip, scan the receipts of your personal belongings.  
  • Report lost luggage to your airline immediately. Keep a copy of your claim. 
  • Theft? Report it to the police within 24 hours.  
  • Get refunds or reschedule with your transportation or accommodation providers first before you claim on your insurance.
