What does your coverage offer?

Your belongings are almost as precious as your trip memories, which is why we cover:

  • Baggage and personal effects, including sporting equipment, lost or damaged by your transportation carrier
  • Stolen bags or personal belongings that are reported to the authorities
  • Theft or damage of travel documents such as passports and visas
  • Baggage delayed for more than 12 hours

What may not be covered?

Travel insurance isn’t designed to cover everything. Our plans exclude:

  • Unsupervised belongings such as those left in an unlocked car  
  • Baggage delayed on your final return flight home  
  • Stolen items not properly reported to the authorities 
  • Damage or loss resulting from regular wear and tear 
  • Certain items such as antiques, furniture and artificial limbs and teeth

  • Find and scan your receipts before your leave
  • If an airline loses your gear, get a report immediately.
  • Theft? Report it to the police within 24 hours.
  • Password protect and lock your phone or tablet.
  • Claim at home or on the road.

Baggage Delay in a Delhi

I arrived in Delhi from Rome. Baggage claim help desk informed me that my bag had been delayed in transit. I was without my bag for almost a week before it was finally delivered to me. It was cold in Delhi (being winter, December) and my warm jacket was in my bag, requiring that I purchase a jacket and other items of warm clothing that I had not taken in my carry-on.
